FC One Rocket and Warri Wolves will clash in the opening game of the 2023 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The encounter will hold at the Eket Township Stadium, Uyo, on Friday.

The remaining matchday one fixtures, according to the second-tier league body, will be held on March 18 so as to allow players to vote during the gubernatorial election.

In another matchday one fixture, Crown Football Club of Ogbomosho will tackle Gateway Football Club of Abeokuta.

The NNL adopted an abridged format for the season, dividing the teams into the Southern and Northern Conferences.

Four teams from the NNL will be promoted to the Nigeria Premier Football League at the end of the campaign.
