Nigeria's head coach, Finidi George, expressed amazement at Ademola Lookman's stellar performance during Atalanta's triumph over Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.

Lookman's hat-trick propelled Atalanta to a historic victory on a grand stage.

In the thrilling contest, Lookman stood out, overshadowing his international teammates Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, who played for Bayer Leverkusen.

Finidi was thrilled to see the Nigerian trio on such a prominent stage and heaped praise on Lookman for his exceptional display.

“Watching @Alookman_ @NathanTella_11 & @boniface_jrn in the Europa League final was a thing of joy and national pride. Well done guys, ” Finidi wrote on X.
“And what a performance that was from Lookman .”

The 26-year-old has now netted 15 goals and provided eight assists across 43 matches for Dea this season.
