Yesterday afternoon at Ascot Ladies, Fulham Women completed their unblemished preseason with a convincing 6-2 victory that featured six different scorers.

When Becky Stormer headed in Tia Foreman's corner in the eighth minute, Steve Jaye's team took the lead. However, seven minutes later, Ascot tied the score. Ilana Harris-Walters continued her impressive summer as a step-up player from the under-18s with a fantastic individual to set up Georgia Heasman to restore the visitors' lead, but Ascot leveled again within three minutes.

The opportunity for the hosts to score from the penalty spot was excellent, but Edie Kelly made a great save. Fulham took the lead when Harris-Walters ran untouched up the other end, and the Whites were determined not to let their lead slip again. Lily Lambird calmly converted a penalty to make it 4-2, giving them a little more breathing room.

The Londoners were in control throughout most of a competitive second half and made victory more emphatic in the final five minutes with two strikes from substitutes. New signing Charmaine True grabbed her first goal since signing from Portsmouth before returning Katie Foster added a sixth with three minutes to play.

Fulham kick off their push for promotion at Sutton United next Sunday afternoon.

Kelly; Bird, Allen, Foreman, Lambird, Armstrong, Stormer, Harris-Walters, Heasman, Trialist 1, Trialist 2. Subs: Gray, Woodland, Foster, True.

Stormer (8), Heasman (25), Harris-Walters (33), Lambird (pen 34), True (84), Foster (87).
