Ethan Nwaneri, a rising star for Arsenal, has received praise from ex-midfielder Jack Wilshere, who called him "unplayable.
"
When Nwaneri made his first-team debut for Arsenal in their 3-0 Premier League victory over Brentford in September, he made history as the youngest player in the history of the league.
Although the 15-year-old hasn't participated in a senior team matchday squad since then, his progress is being closely watched by Arsenal supporters who have high expectations for him.
Last weekend's U18 Premier League Cup match between the Arsenal U18s and Manchester United ended in a 3-3 draw thanks to two goals from Nwaneri.
But after the game, Wilshere, who is now in charge of the U18s, was pleased with Nwaneri's performance.
“In the first half, he tried to find the spaces, playing in people’s backs and creating space for himself, and we could not find him a little bit,” Wilshere said at his post-match press conference.
“In the second half, he was very good." He was unplayable at times. He had a few good moments. In the second half, a lot of players stepped up, and we found some more space.
