Portuguese forward João Félix has opened up about his decision to join AC Milan on loan from Chelsea during the January transfer window.
Felix, who struggled for regular game time under Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, opted for a move to the Serie A giants for the remainder of the season.
Explaining why he chose Milan over other interested clubs, Félix, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, stated:
"I didn’t ask AC Milan to play every game, just to play in my position… and Sérgio Conceição wanted exactly to put me in my best position. That was crucial for me to pick AC Milan."
Meanwhile, AC Milan Senior Advisor Zlatan Ibrahimović revealed that it took just five minutes to finalize Félix’s transfer deal.
As for Chelsea, manager Enzo Maresca insists his squad is not missing Félix, confirming that the player is happy at Milan.
