Joao Felix was sent off in the first Premier League match for newly acquired Chelsea after Nuno Tavares, a left-back for Arsenal, appeared to make fun of the player.

Before choosing to sign with Chelsea, Felix was reportedly on his way to Arsenal.

As a result of the attacker's careless challenge on Kenny Tete, he received a straight red card.

It was a nightmare start to life for the Atletico Madrid loanee.

Tavares, who is on loan at Marseille from Arsenal, appears to have made a joke at Felix’s expense.

He tweeted: “Joao Felix. What a player anyway.”

Chelsea went on to lose the game with goals from their former player Willian and Vinicius. Kalidou Koulibaly pulled one back for the visitors.
