According to SPORT, Real Madrid is prepared to spend £200 million to sign Kylian Mbappe without first haggling with Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite Mbappe being barred from the Ligue 1 champions, neither club held talks this summer.
Since then, the 24-year-old has made a comeback to the first team and has five goals in his first three games this year.
Although there are rumors that Mbappe and PSG may agree to a new contract, it is thought that Real Madrid wants to sign the player to a pre-contract in January.
This will mean the France captain joins them for nothing when his PSG deal expires on June 30.
Real didn’t like PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi rejecting their approaches out of hand, even offers approaching £172 million.
Instead, Real have decided to set aside around £200 million for Mbappe in the form of wages and a signing-on fee.
