Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, expresses the team's determination not to disappoint their fans by losing to Sierra Leone's Leone Stars.
With their place at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on the line, Jose Peseiro's side is focused on securing victory against their West African counterparts at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia on Sunday.
In their previous three encounters with John Keister's team, the Super Eagles have emerged victorious only once. Following their 1-0 home loss to Guinea-Bissau on matchday three, Musa understands the urgency of avoiding another unfavorable result this time.
"We are well aware that it won't be easy. If we win 10-0, it won't be surprising; people will just say it was expected. But if we lose against them, it will be the talk of the town," Musa stated to reporters.
Recognizing the significance of the match, Musa and his teammates are determined to give their best and secure a victory by the grace of God. The kickoff for the encounter is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Nigerian time.
