Lorient president Loic Fery has revealed that Ligue 1 club OGC Nice put pressure on Terem Moffi to reject offers from Olympic Marseille and West Ham United.
Marseille and West Ham had offers accepted for the forward, but the Nigeria international turned down the two clubs for a move to Nice.
Nice had several offers rejected for Moffi but eventually signed the player for €30 million.
Fery was not happy with the way the Rivera Club conducted themselves during the negotiation for the 23-year-old.
“We had accepted an offer from Marseille and another from West Ham, which were within our parameters. When you close the door, you have to know how to hear it,” Féry said to L’euipe
“There, Nice continued to solicit our player, even if there was no agreement." He was very unsettled. ”
Moffi scored 12 goals in 18 league appearances for Lorient before completing the switch to Nice.
He made his debut for Les Aigles in the 2-1 win against Marseille last weekend.
