Nottingham Forest forward, Awoniyi named in Team of the Week
English legend, Alan Shearer, has named Nottingham Forest forward, Taiwo Awoniyi, in his Premier League Team of the Week.
Awoniyi scored the decisive goal as Forest defeated his former club, Liverpool, 1-0 at the City Ground last Saturday.
It was Steve Cooper’s side’s first win in the Premier League since August.
The striker fired home from close range after his initial effort cannoned off the post.
Awoniyi was a menace to Liverpool’s defenders throughout the contest.
The 24-year-old has now scored three goals in nine league appearances for the Reds this season.
It’s the first time he has been named in the Team of the Week following his arrival at Nottingham Forest from Bundesliga club Union Berlin this summer.
