Leon Balogun, a central defender for the Super Eagles, went inside the Black Stars' dressing room to greet them after Nigeria failed to win the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday.
After Nigeria failed to score in Kumasi, Ghana qualified on the away goal rule, with the second leg concluding 1-1 in Abuja.
After the final whistle, Ghanaian players consoled the Rangers defender as he slumped down on the turf, his face buried in his hands.
Balogun, despite his disappointment at losing out on the World Cup, paid a visit to the Black Stars players in their changing room.
According to a video posted on the Ghana Football Association's official YouTube website, Balogun walked to their changing room and shook the hands of the players.
