Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro was among the spectators during Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League quarterfinal first-leg clash between Gent and West Ham United at the Ghelamco Arena.
Peseiro was on the ground to assess Nigeria’s new scoring sensation, Gift Orban, who plays for Gent.
“At the Ghelamco Arena last night for the UEFA Conference League match between Gent and West Ham,” the Portuguese wrote on his Twitter handle, accompanied by three pictures.
Orban was in action for 83 minutes in the game, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The 20-year-old came close to scoring twice.
Orban’s superb shot from about 30 yards missed the target in the 63rd minute.
His acrobatic shot clipped the top of the crossbar in the 82nd minute.
The talented forward has scored 14 goals in 12 appearances across all competitions for Gent this season.
