KAA Gent manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck is not sure Gift Orban will remain with the Belgian Pro League club by the end of the current transfer window.
Orban has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, a Premier League club.
The 21-year-old is targeted by the Lilywhites as a replacement for Harry Kane, who is now expected to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Orban hugged the headlines again after netting a hat-trick in Gent’s UEFA Europa League clash against Polish club Pogon Szczecin on Wednesday night.
Vanhaezebrouck is not certain the Nigerian will still be with the Buffalos when the transfer window closes in September.
“I don’t know if he will still be playing with us in September. We must prepare for what may still happen and, above all, strengthen the core. We are working hard on it,” he told Sporza.
Orban has scored five goals in five appearances across all competitions for Gent this season.
