Wilfried Zaha, a Crystal Palace attacker, has disclosed his manager Patrick Vieira's gameplan that harmed Arsenal during their Premier League match on Monday.
Arsenal were trounced 3-0 by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, dropping them to fifth position in the Premier League table, behind Tottenham.
By halftime, Palace had a well-deserved lead thanks to goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jordan Ayew.
In the second half, Zaha himself converted a penalty to seal Palace's victory at home.
"We focused on what we were going to do all week," Zaha said after the game when asked about Palace's tactics.
"We knew they loved to play inside, so we just attempted to stop the inside balls and counter when we had chances to get the goals we needed." With the quality we have, I believe we must assert ourselves. It's not about looking at the shirt badges or whatever in the games we play; we have quality in our team. "I believe that if we play the way we want to play, we can damage anyone."
