Yerins Abraham, a reality TV personality, has urged Nigerians to quit 'disrespecting' singer Angelique Kidjo, claiming that she is larger than the majority of their favorite celebs.

On Monday morning, April 4, the former Big Brother Naija housemate announced this in a post on his own Twitter profile.

.

Angelique Kidjo's 'Mother Nature,' a Beninian singer and songwriter, has received the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album at the 64th Grammy Awards. She has been nominated for 11 Grammy Awards, and this will be her fifth.

"Angelique Kidjo is greater than your faves," Yerins tweeted in response to the triumph. Stop making fun of her!!!!! #GRAMMYs"

This comes after comedian Isokoboy claimed in an Instagram video that Angelique didn't deserve to win the award over Wizkid, a Nigerian celebrity musician, because Wizkid has more hit songs.

Paraphrasing his words, the comedian who wasn’t happy with Wizkid’s loss said, “What exactly does Angelique Kidjo sing that Grammy is always giving her awards wey Dem suppose give Wizkid. Them leave Made In Lagos wey Essence dey, Blessed dey wey feature Damian Marley, Piece of me dey, come go award Angelique.”
