Following reports that member Yeojin had collapsed during a recent performance, Loona's agency, Blockberry Creative, has provided an official update on the singer's condition.
The Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City hosted LOONA's final performance of the American leg of their "LOONATHEWORLD" tour on August 28. Yeojin, the girl group's newest member, was seen falling over during that performance of "Pose."
Yeojin's current condition was addressed in a formal statement issued by Blockberry Creative yesterday (August 30), who attributed her collapse to the venue's elevation. The incident happened just two weeks after (G)I-DLE member Shuhua passed out during a concert at the same location.
According to the organization, "Member Yeojin had a temporary breathing problem right after performing choreography in Mexico City, which is a mountainous area," and she "is in stable condition after receiving treatment from the on-site medical staff," which it added.
Based on photos uploaded to LOONA’s Twitter account during the concert, members Olivia Hye and Choerry were also absent from the Mexico City show. At the time of writing, Blockberry Creative has yet to provide an update on either member.
Following the concert, fans of the girl group have taken to social media to voice their concerns for Loona, pointing out that several of the group’s 12 members have had to miss concerts and meet and greets over the past few weeks of their tour due to health issues.
