David Adeleke, aka Davido, a well-known Nigerian singer, has postponed his upcoming Are We African Yet (A.

W.A.Y.) festival in memory of his deceased son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

In a statement posted on the festival's Twitter account, the singer's management expressed regret to the fans for the letdown and pledged to make it up to them.

The statement claims that Davido wants to spend more time with his family during this difficult period of mourning.

The announcement reads: "We have decided to postpone the A.W.A.Y. Festival until November 18, 2023. This was a difficult but necessary decision. All purchasers of tickets should note that they will be honored for the 2023 event. "We appreciate your understanding and hope to see you all soon," the statement concluded.

After deactivating his late son's Instagram account and unfollowing DJ Cuppy and Femi Otedola out of grief, the singer reportedly made his first appearance on Instagram on Monday.
