Controversial Nigerian rapper Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, has claimed that he doesn’t know Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy.

He said the ‘Ye’ crooner is an attention seeker, adding that he once made a video in the bathroom just to get his attention.

Speed Darlington made the claims in a recent interview with Hip TV.

The ‘Akpi’ crooner vowed never to do a feature with either Burna Boy, Wizkid, or Davido.

He said, “I don’t want to do a song with Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, or any of those names. I’m not interested because tomorrow it will become, ‘We made you.’ You didn’t make me; I was trending before you met me. I didn’t even know you. You made a video to get my attention in the bathroom. So, who knows who? I’m talking about Burna. You made a video to get Who knows who? You come to me. Otherwise, let it fail. I’m not interested.

“I heard the name Burna Boy not too long ago. But I’ve come to realize that she's been putting in work for years. It’s just that the industry didn’t recognize him.

“I heard the name Burna Boy; I think 2017/2018. There was a video he made, and he was basically giving me a hint: Let’s do something. The video found me. This was 2017–2018. First of all, I thought he was an American artist. I had no idea who he was.”
