Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy of the disbanded Psquare music group, has criticized the Nigeria Police Force for how it handled a threat made by Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee.
In a viral video, Oluomo had threatened Igbo residents in Lagos State, telling them to either vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or stay inside during the current governorship elections.
In response to the threat, the Force's spokesman, Adejobi Olumuyiwa, claimed that MC Oluomo's threat against Igbos, which went viral on social media, was just a joke.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, nobody has the right to stop the people of Lagos from casting their ballots for the candidate of their choice.
But Rudeboy, who was angered by the response from police, took to his Twitter handle to lambast the police, saying that the security agency is the major problem in the country.
He wrote, “Until we realize our major problem in Nigeria is the security agencies... someone is threatening some certain tribes in Lagos, and the police came out to say he was just joking.
“Now look at what is happening in Lagos today! Oga Police, was he really joking? Shameless people”.
