Chelsea Legends React to Cole Palmer’s Stunning Panenka in 4-3 Victory Over Tottenham
Chelsea legends John Terry and Frank Lampard have shared their reactions to Cole Palmer’s sensational panenka penalty in the Blues' thrilling 4-3 win over Tottenham on Sunday.
As reported by DAILY POST, Chelsea triumphed over Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham to climb to second place in the Premier League table.
The match started with Dominic Solanke putting Spurs ahead, followed by Dejan Kulusevski doubling their lead. However, Chelsea fought back with Jadon Sancho’s strike in the 17th minute, reducing the deficit to 2-1. A penalty was awarded to Chelsea after Moises Caicedo was fouled by Yves Bissouma, and Cole Palmer confidently converted it in the 61st minute to level the score.
Enzo Fernandez then gave Chelsea the lead in the 73rd minute, before Palmer sealed the victory with a remarkable panenka penalty in the 84th minute, leaving Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster frozen in disbelief.
Tottenham’s Heung Min Son added a late goal in injury time (90+6'), but it wasn’t enough to prevent Chelsea from securing the three points.
After the match, Palmer posted a photo on Instagram with the caption “Chippy.” Frank Lampard praised the moment, commenting “Class” with blue heart emojis, while John Terry also reacted with emojis to express his admiration.
This dramatic victory and Palmer’s dazzling panenka have Chelsea fans buzzing as they continue their strong push for the top of the table!
