Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of the late Nigerian music star Mohbad, has revealed that she is facing relentless bullying, particularly from her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba.

She claims he has been turning people against her by persistently demanding a DNA test for her son, Liam.

Speaking on TVC’s Your View, Omowunmi clarified that she has no issue with the DNA test itself but is deeply hurt by the way her father-in-law is handling the situation. “I have nothing to hide, but the approach is heartbreaking. Right now, I am the most bullied widow in Nigeria,” she stated.

She also revealed that before Mohbad’s tragic passing, she and Joseph Aloba had a close relationship. According to her, he was the one who strongly encouraged her and Mohbad to have a child—even when they felt unprepared—by urging them through fasting and prayers.

Mohbad tragically passed away on September 12, 2023. Shockingly, within 24 hours, his father, Joseph Aloba, buried him in Ikorodu, Lagos State. However, due to rising controversies surrounding the singer’s death, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy.

To date, the autopsy results remain undisclosed. Meanwhile, Joseph Aloba insists that Mohbad will not be reburied until the results are released and a DNA test is conducted to confirm the paternity of his grandson, Liam.

Stay tuned for updates on this unfolding family controversy.
