Veteran Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, popularly known as Omosexy, has said Nollywood introduced the Nigerian Entertainment industry to the world way before Afrobeats.



Omotola made the revelation in a post on her Instagram page on Thursday while reminiscing about her impact on Nollywood and the world before the emergence of social media.

She also shared the old movie clips with some of her colleagues in the industry as proof of her taking Nollywood to the world before the emergence of afrobeats.

Sharing the videos, which had Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji, and Stella Damasus in them, Omotola said someone sent her the videos, and it was nostalgic.

She wrote: “Someone sent me some of these videos, and it was nostalgic, lol.
“Despite the not-so-great quality and lack of social media, these movies Broke barriers. Way Before Afrobeats We introduced Nigerian Entertainment to the World. We took on the World. we still.
“Name the Movies you know. Lol.”
