Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has criticized Apostle Femi Lazarus, the Lead Pastor of the Sphere of Light Church, for his recent controversial remarks about women lacking fatherly affection.
In a viral video of one of his sermons, Apostle Lazarus suggested that women who haven't experienced fatherly affection tend to become sexually promiscuous. Phyna, however, strongly disagreed with this assertion, arguing that it is a sweeping generalization.
Taking to her X handle on Monday, Phyna expressed her disapproval of the clergyman's statement, emphasizing that she herself grew up without a father figure but did not exhibit the behavior he described.
She wrote, “Well bcuz I can make the mistake of generalising things now I know better.
“Some of us that didn’t have a fatherly figure in all our existence, I will talk about me, I grew up well and was never loose sexually.
Now I say sorry for the time i generalised my opinion.”
Responding to an X user who disagreed with her via the comment section, on the grounds of her previous admittance of abortion, Phyna said, “At least I was almost done serving Nigeria as kopa then around 19 to 20….”
