Popular comedienne Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, better known as Real Warri Pikin, has revealed that her suicidal attempt led her to venture into the crib-cracking business.
She said she took the decision in a bid to motivate others who are going through similar challenges.
The Daily Post recalls that Real Warri Pikin revealed that she contemplated suicide several times between 2017 and 2018 because of a debt she and her husband, Ikechukwu, owed.
In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the mother of three said starting comedy helped her heal from the trauma.
She said, “All the videos I do at that time are not comedy to make people laugh, but motivation to motivate people to say, Area! Even though you owe debt, no worries; the federal government owes debt. No, kill yourself. Take one step at a time. Problems must come.
“I think those things helped me heal, like things I supposed to myself, I go come tell [others]. Then I never paid the debt again. I'll still go cry; come do a video.
“Maybe God made me go through what I went through because He wanted me to be here.” (sic)
Warri Pikin said she has been receiving testimonies of how her motivational talks stopped others from committing suicide.
