Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Reekado Banks have officially reconciled, years after their highly publicized fallout in 2020.
The duo, who had been at odds since Wizkid called Reekado Banks a “clout animal” during the #EndSARS protests, were recently seen together for the first time in years. Their rift stemmed from Reekado announcing the release of Omo Ologo, a collaboration with Wizkid, at a time when the nation was focused on the protests. Reacting to the post back then, Wizkid harshly criticized him, calling it an “old song” and telling him to delete it.
Fast forward to 2025, and it looks like they’ve finally buried the hatchet. Wizkid was spotted at Reekado Banks’ newly opened lounge in Lagos, where they enjoyed a meal together alongside rapper Shallipopi. A viral video of their reunion has since surfaced on social media, sparking excitement among fans.
This unexpected reconciliation has thrilled music lovers, fueling hopes for a potential collaboration between the two Afrobeats stars.
