The ace Noble Laurette Sir Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul nicknamed Sir Vidal after he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1990, has been confirmed dead by his family at the age of 85.
Sir Vidal, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in literature in 2001 was confirmed to have dead by his wife Lady Naipaul as she said that the Nobel Laurette died on his home in London and he was surrounded by people he loved to be with.
The notable works of Sir Vidal include; A horse for Mr Bismas, In a free State, A Bend in the River and The Enigma of Arrival.
However, prominent people across the globe have been sending condolence message to the family of the decease on social media even his staunch critics like Salman Rushdics are not left behind in expressing their shocks about the death of Sir Vidal.
