One person has been confirmed dead as some political thugs or Hoodlums set the palace of the Akirun of Ikirun ablaze.



The traditional ruler of the community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state was appointed lately by the Outgoing Governor in person of Gov. Oyetola but some indigene of the town were not pleased with the appointment and this has been causing unrest in the community.

However, the situation took another dimension yesterday as some frustrated youths set the palace ablaze and destroyed many properties within the palace.
