There will be power outages in some areas of Abuja on Tuesday from 10 a.
m. to 2 p.m. due to annual maintenance on the 2X15 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) B52 Injection Substation, according to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).
The entire Wuse II, Aminu Kano Crescent, Kumasi, Libreville, Buchanan Crescent, Agadez Street, Parakou Crescent, and FCDA Quarters would be impacted by the outage, according to a statement from AEDC management.
The FERMA headquarters, the NEMSA office, Dar-es-Salam Street, Lingu Crescent, and the surrounding areas were listed as additional locations that would be impacted by the outrage.
The transmission company of Nigeria (TCN) will be able to perform maintenance on the line between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the company, which also announced that 132 kV Gwagwalada-Apo Line 1 in Abuja would be out of service.
”Areas and customers to be affected include Games Village, the National Stadium, the Eye Clinic, Galadimawa, Suncity Estate, Kabusa Gardens, Human Rights Radio, and parts of Lokogoma.
”Others are Trade More Estate (Lugbe), Aco Estate, Aso Estate, Lugbe Across, the Railway Station, Karmajiji, Kuchigoro Villages, EFCC, Coca-Cola, Utako District, and Wuye District.
”While we regret the inconvenience, please be assured that it is intended to ensure better service delivery,” it said.
