A Federal High Court in Abuja has authorized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, ahead of his scheduled arraignment on Thursday.

The warrant, granted by Justice Emeka Nwite on Wednesday afternoon, follows a request from the EFCC.

This development follows a conflicting ruling from a Kogi State High Court, which barred the EFCC from arresting, detaining, or prosecuting the former governor.
