The current governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, reportedly intervened to remove the embattled former governor of the state, Yahaya Bello, from his residence in Abuja amidst a security crackdown by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other agencies.
The incident occurred on Wednesday at Bello's residence on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4.
Although the exact reason for the security presence and restricted movement around Bello's house remains unclear, it is speculated to be related to allegations of N84 billion money laundering previously leveled against him.
According to reports from TheCable, an EFCC official mentioned that Bello was seen leaving in Ododo's car shortly before both Ododo and the EFCC personnel left the premises.
This development highlights the ongoing scrutiny and legal challenges faced by Bello, whose political and legal entanglements continue to draw attention.
