Before his political career, Hon. Adams was a well-known figure in the sports world, serving as the general manager of Kada City FC and Remo Stars. He was elected to the House of Representatives on the Labour Party (LP) platform in 2023. Given his extensive sports background as a former athlete and administrator, Adams was appointed the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Sports, a position he held until his untimely death.

Adams’ passing marks the second loss for the House of Representatives within a week, following the death of Hon. Olaide Akinremi (Jagaban) from Oyo State on July 10.
