A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC, Femi Fani-Kayode, has invoked the name of God to assist Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the Lagos State governorship race.
Sanwo-Olu, the incumbent governor of the state who is seeking re-election for his second term, has Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party and Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, better known as Jandor of the Peoples Democratic Party, as major candidates to contend with.
While the Obidients who supported the Labour Party presidential candidate in the just concluded election, Peter Obi, have backed Rhodes-Vivour, other residents of the state have vowed to ensure victory for either Sanwo-Olu or Jandor.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Saturday morning, Fani-Kayode rained prayers on Sanwo-Olu, asking God to help the governor secure victory in the ongoing election.
The tweet reads, “I invoke the name and power of Yeshua HaMashia, He that is high and lifted up, and He whose train fills the Temple, to unfold His counsel, effect His will, establish his purpose, and glorify His name in this great and historic battle.
“Let the boastful heathans be humbled and let those that believe that man and money alone can do any and all things see and feel the awesome power of Heaven and the might of our God”.
