In Kurikyo, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, a young man identified as Mohammed Tanko has been arrested for allegedly stealing a ram.
Tanko, a resident of Anguwan Gayam, was apprehended by members of the community after he slaughtered the stolen ram on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Eyewitnesses reported that Tanko was subjected to a beating by residents before being handed over to security authorities for further action. The suspect, who confessed to the crime, cited personal needs and economic hardship as motives for his actions.
