Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, have announced an indefinite adjournment of legislative activities.



According to The Nation, the decision was made during a plenary session led by Speaker Martin Amaewhule.

This development comes just hours after Governor Siminalayi Fubara set Wednesday as the date to re-present the 2025 budget—a move in compliance with the recent Supreme Court ruling that mandates him to recognize the pro-Wike lawmakers.
