A Nigerian guy recounted how his wife made a lovely gesture and then expected him to pay for it.

The man explained that his loving wife recognized the need for him to update his wardrobe, so she hired a seamstress to sew him new local outfits.

When the clothes arrived, he was surprised to learn that his wife had only paid half the price and insisted that he pay the remainder.

Meanwhile, despite having to pay for the garments, she gave them to him as a gift.

Recounting the incident, he wrote, “My wife, seeing that I needed new native attire, decided to contract a tailor to sew some for me without my knowledge." She presented them to me and then told me they were a gift from her to me. But she didn’t pay the man completely and asked me for the balance. ”

He went on to say that women don't offer free presents and that the man would have to pay back in some way without even realizing it.

As he puts it,

Thank you all for your comments and quotes. My wife and I had a good laugh at them. And for those that were inspired by it, no man will frown at such gestures. Women don’t give free gifts. You’ll pay back one way or the other, even without knowing it. Mercie
