The Niger State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Fatima Dzuma, a 27-year-old woman accused of killing her husband, Baba Aliyu, aged 25, in Katcha Local Government Area.

According to SP Wasiu Abiodun, the Police Public Relations Officer, the altercation took a fatal turn when Fatima allegedly struck her husband on the head with a pestle, leading to his untimely death. Law enforcement swiftly intervened, resulting in her arrest and detention.
The police spokesperson disclosed this in Minna on Monday, alongside updates on other cases. He revealed that the police neutralized an armed robber and apprehended 16 suspects for offenses including vandalism, drug trafficking, and illegal possession of firearms.
In a related development, a 45-year-old suspect, Aminu Amale, was arrested for allegedly extorting N9.5 million from a farmer in Mariga Local Government Area. The case involves accusations of blackmail and coercion, further highlighting the efforts of the police to combat crime in the region.
