DONALD DUKE DEFECTS TO SDP

It will be recalled that the two terms governor of Cross River state under the platform of PDP has been among the presidential aspirants of the party in the forthcoming general election but with the look of things it may be that the chances of him winning the primary election keep getting slimmer everyday as over 10 prominent politicians in PDP have already showed interest in the primary election.

Duke attributed his defection to the fact that PDP is now downgrading and moving regressively on a daily basis and it is expedient for him to find a better party that is moving progressively.

He was received today afternoon at the National Secretariat of SDP by the national secretary of the party Shehu Gabam, the SDP national publicity secretary Alfa Mohammed and many influential members of the party.

With this defection, it is expected that Donald Duke will be one of the leading presidential aspirants of SDP in the forthcoming general election.
