Javier Zanetti, a former defender for Argentina, believes his nation will take home the FIFA World Cup trophy in 2022.
At this year's FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Zanetti also predicted that Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, would take home both the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball.
With a remarkable unbeaten streak of 35 games, Argentina is one of the favorites to win the World Cup competition.
The World Cup of this year will be Messi's fifth and last chance to take home the one trophy that has eluded him throughout his remarkable career.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward came closest to winning the title back in 2014, when his team lost 1-0 to Germany in the final after extra time.
Messi was given the Golden Ball for being the best player in the tournament in Brazil.
However, when asked by Ezzequiel who he believes will win the World Cup, Golden Boot, and Golden Ball, Zanetti replied, “Messi” (as per All About Argentina).
Zanetti was then asked which team he would like Argentina to avoid in the final if they progressed to that stage. He simply answered, “France.”
