Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has stated that his squad must "prepare well" ahead of their UEFA Champions League semi-final first-leg match against Real Madrid later this month.
Real Madrid defeated Osasuna 3-1 in a LaLiga matchup on Wednesday, according to Ancelotti.
On April 26, Ancelotti's side will face Real Madrid in the opening leg of the Champions League semi-final at Etihad Stadium.
Atletico Madrid had been eliminated from the Champions League quarter-finals, while Los Blancos had overcome Chelsea.
"They all accomplished what was expected of them and I am really satisfied with the performance," Ancelotti remarked in the press room at El Sadar after Real Madrid overcame Osasuna.
“I am not thinking about when we can win the league. Our next objective is the Champions League semi-final, and we've got to make sure we properly prepare for it, whatever happens. After the Manchester City game, we will analyse what has happened in these games. ”
He added, “We’re focused on preparing well for the Champions League semi-final and then we will see what happens and if we need to beat Espanyol. We are only focused on the Champions League and we are in good form. We are feeling good and motivated, and everyone is committed. Ceballos had a great game today and he was right: he deserved more minutes. ”
