Former Newcastle United star Darren Ambrose has slammed Tottenham's owners, describing the club as "Banter FC.
"
According to Ambrose, the owner of the club, Joe Lewis, is only interested in making money and not improving the football club.
The north London side is facing a really difficult time with a series of poor results on the pitch, which many people believe is a reflection of poor management.
They recently sacked Antonio Conte and replaced him with Cristian Stellini on a caretaker basis, and just after a couple of weeks, he too left the club to be replaced by Ryan Mason.
Tottenham have conceded 15 goals in their last four games as they failed to record a victory, seeing their hopes of finishing in the top four fall away dramatically.
Speaking on The Boot Room, Ambrose said: “Joe Lewis and the ENIC Group don’t care about the football club."
“They don’t care about football and what’s happening on the pitch and being successful; they care about making money.
“It makes us Banter FC because we never win any trophies, and that’s because we don’t recruit the right people.”
