Chelsea have launched their first bid to sign goalkeeper Robert Sanchez from Brighton.
The Premier League club is looking to sign a new goalkeeper after the departure of Edouard Mendy to provide competition for No. 1 Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Sanchez is thought to have agreed to join Chelsea.
Sanchez is no longer wanted by Brighton, having lost his place to goalkeeper Jason Steele back in March.
Chelsea have been linked with Sanchez, who has been capped twice by Spain’s national team.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea have now made their first offer for the 25-year-old.
The report added that while Brighton have yet to officially respond, discussions over a transfer are ongoing.
Sanchez was left out of Brighton’s pre-season squad, and the Seagulls have signed Bart Verbruggen this summer as his replacement.
