Premier League, FIFA, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, and former Crystal Palace star, Yannick Bolasie, have reacted to former Arsenal and Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil’s retirement from football.



Ozil announced his retirement from football in a post via his Twitter handle on Wednesday.

He explained that he took the decision because of the recent injuries he has suffered.

The former Germany international spent the past three years in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 34-year-old retired after making four appearances for Basaksehir.

Reacting, Premier League, FIFA, De Bruyne and Bolasie took to Twitter to pay tribute to Ozil.
