Fulham captain Tom Cairney has hailed Chelsea's Cole Palmer as his Premier League Player of the Season for 2023-24.
With the campaign wrapping up this Sunday, Cairney also praised Palmer as the season’s top signing, highlighting his transformative impact at Stamford Bridge following his transfer from Manchester City.
Speaking on BBC’s The Players Channel podcast, Cairney expressed immense admiration for the 22-year-old talent.
“I’m giving it to Palmer. I think Palmer is the Signing of the Season and Player of the Season,” Cairney said.
“He gets bought for £40 million and he has put the team on his back, literally. Even early in the season with them big penalties, he said no give me the ball. He’s been the star man.
“What he’s done in a Chelsea shirt is more impressive than what anyone else has done in my opinion.”
