Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that forward Timo Werner could depart Chelsea this summer amidst interest from Juventus.
Romano said that Juventus are weighing up Werner as well as Alvaro Morata, with the latter being manager Massimiliano Allegri’s preferred option.
He added that Werner’s name had previously come up when Chelsea negotiated with Juventus for defender Matthijs de Ligt, who has now joined Bayern Munich.
Romano disclosed this in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday night.
“Timo Werner could really leave Chelsea this summer,” Romano tweeted.
“He’s one of the names on Juventus' list alongside Allegri’s priority Morata—was already discussed during negotiations for de Ligt.”
Romano added that the Blues tried to include the German international while negotiating with his former side, Red Bull Leipzig, for Nordi Mukiele.
However, they couldn’t get the deal done, with Mukiele now set to join Paris Saint-Germain.
