Ethan Ampadu, a Chelsea outcast who spent last season on loan at Venezia, could be joining Empoli in Italy again.

This assertion was made by renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Thursday night in a tweet sent through his Twitter account.

Romano claims that Ampadu, who Thomas Tuchel's plans for Chelsea do not call for, will join Empoli on loan and be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge.

“Empoli are still keen on signing Ethan Ampadu on loan from Chelsea,” Romano tweeted.
“Talks on, negotiations about salary and more.
“Ampadu will make a decision on his future in the next few days.”
