Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reacted to Jack Grealish’s claim that it was hard to adapt to life under the Spaniard.
Grealish had recently said he found it hard to adapt to life at Manchester City under Guardiola.
But reacting during his press conference on Tuesday, Guardiola insisted that it is "simple" to play in his system.
Grealish joined City for £100 million from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021 but has scored just seven goals since then.
However, Guardiola said, “For me, it’s not hard—the way we want to play is so simple,” said the Spaniard.
“Run without the ball, everyone, to help each other, and with the ball, be in the positions to get the ball in better conditions.
“I read the words from Jack and I understood—at Villa they said, "Do whatever you want; move here, move there, right, left.”
Guardiola, however, admitted that the style of play at Manchester City is actually different from what Grealish used to do at Aston Villa.
