Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has said that he keeps watching his team's 4-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semifinal stage on repeat.
The Daily Post recalls that Manchester City thrashed Real Madrid at the Etihad in the second leg of their semifinal on May 17.
After the first leg ended 1-1, fans expected a close match in the second leg as well, but that was far from the case.
Man City dominated the match as a brace from Bernardo Silva and a goal each from Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez ensured Pep Guardiola’s side eliminated the 14-time Champions League winners and booked a place in the final, where they would face Inter Milan in June.
Speaking after winning the FWA Player of the Year award, Haaland said in an interview with Hayters TV: “The first half, when I saw it again, is one of the few games I have been watching again, and I think it is the best first half I have ever seen, ever in my life, of a football team.”
