Last Thursday, the Italian club reportedly agreed to a loan agreement and a potential €50 million purchase obligation for Zaniolo, but the former Tottenham manager reportedly blocked the talks in an effort to keep the talented 23-year-old.

The Serie A club is rumored to only be willing to let go of Zaniolo if Tottenham pay the proposed transfer fee up front.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Spurs are prepared to provide cash along with midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in an effort to persuade Mourinho to sell.

The former France international has had trouble making an impression since his club-record £65 million move to north London, and at the end of the previous season, he was loaned back to Lyon.
