Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Leicester City, thinks Kelechi Iheanacho will have an impact against Leeds United on Thursday in the Premier League.
Only one of Leicester City's 10 league games this year have Iheanacho as the starting quarterback.
One goal has been scored by the 26-year-old for the Foxes.
James Maddison won't be playing for Leicester City in this contest.
Maddison will miss the King Power Stadium match after receiving his fifth caution of the year against Crystal Palace last week.
The three candidates to take the place of the England international are Iheanacho, Dennis Praet, and Ayoze Perez.
During the course of his conversation with the media, Rodgers stated, "We have a number of players who can play that position."
Kels can come in and do that role. "Dennis Praet can play it well too.
“What I know about Kels is that he always gives everything." He came into the game against Crystal Palace and was effective in it. That is all we want from the guys off the bench.
“Can they make an impact? He did that; he had a couple of runs and a couple of moves within the game. "If he starts or if he comes into the game, he can make an impact,” Rodgers stated.
Iheanacho’s international teammate, Wilfred Ndidi, will miss the game as a result of injury.
