Prior to their matchup with Manchester City in the Premier League on October 16, Liverpool has been dealt a double injury blow.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz of Liverpool both suffered injuries in their team's 3-2 Premier League loss to Arsenal on Sunday.
At the half, Alexander-Arnold was substituted for Diaz as the Colombian international appeared to be experiencing knee pain during Liverpool's match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Alexander-Arnold had appeared to sustain an ankle injury from a challenge during the match.
In his post-game press conference, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp did, however, provide a concerning injury update for both players.
Asked about Alexander-Arnold and Diaz, Klopp confirmed that it doesn’t look good for both players.
The German said, “He is injured, unfortunately." Like Luis Diaz as well, it doesn’t look good for both. That is the icing on the cake. Two massive injury blows for us. Trent and Luis.
“Luis Diaz, something with the knee, not good.”
